Chris Carter, DMD, MS
Dr. Carter practiced dentistry for five years before specializing in orthodontics. The knowledge he gained as a dentist helps him analyze your entire mouth. You may not know that an orthodontist can do more than give you a great smile; they can affect the shape of the lower face. Dr. Carter is proud to be able to create attractive facial proportions along with beautiful smiles. This is the most rewarding part of his job, and he lectures other dentists and physicians about this topic. Dr. Carter cares about your whole mouth not just how straight your teeth are. He was awarded a Masters Degree along with the Douglas Buck Research award for his innovative research looking at how braces can affect the health of his patients' gum tissue long term. Dr. Carter lives in Mission Viejo with his wife Kim, their son Cayden, and their dog Katie.
